Thomas the Train

I volunteered to make a cake for my cousin's son Alex.  He requested a "baniwa" cake with blue frosting that was Thomas the Train.  So after much searching on the internet on how to make a Thomas cake, Amie and I got together and made a practice cake.  When we were done with the practice we had a much better idea of what to do for the real one.

It took about 5 hours after baking the cakes to stack and frost then cover in fondant and add all the details.  But I really loved how it turned out.

So now for the pictures.

  1. Who delivers those valuable cakes. Are they insured?

  2. These two awesome guys were kind enough to deliver them to the party! Seriously you two and Amy are so nice that I cried a little. Thank you for making my kids birthday party so special!
